Peyton | Fayetteville Senior Photographer

I feel like weather is talked about a lot on here.  Being matter of fact, the weather is probably one of the most stressful things about my job!  Especially in the summer months.

Peyton drove about 1.5 hours to Raleigh from Fayetteville to have her senior portraits made.  The weather was forecasted partly cloudy and 20 to 30% chance rain, which one would think that’s fairly safe.

Peyton had her makeup applied at WINK and as soon as we were about to leave the clouds had rolled in and it started to look a little questionable.  So of course you just go with it, because what else are you going to do?  We made maybe about 15 minutes into our breezy shoot and a VERY loud crack of thunder shook us all up.  It felt like it was RIGHT over our heads!   Peyton’s mom was quick to start grabbing all of our things to move to shelter ASAP.  Within 3 minutes of going inside, the skies just let out.  AND by let out, I mean let out!  The microburst only lasted for 20 minutes, but gave us all the opportunity to sit down and chat a bit.  The storm cooled the summer day down and provided a not too bad August day!  What a blessing!!
